Athanasios Panagiotopoulos was born in Amfissa, in 1975. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in 1997 and was sworn lawyer in 2000. In 2004 he was appointed Notary of Amfissa, and practices the profession since then. He was elected member of the Municipal Council of Delphi in the local government elections of 2010 and in 2011 was unanimously appointed Chairman of the Municipal Council of Delphi. In the local governmental elections of 2014 was elected Mayor of Delphi. Has participated and still participates as common member or a member of the administrative council of various cultural, scientific and sport groups of the area of the Municipality of Delphi. He is President of the “Organization of Development of Central Greece S.A.”, Vice President of “Fokiki Development S.A.”, President of the Committee of Political Cohesion and Development of the “Regional Association of Municipalities of Central Greece” and Member of the Committee for Touristic Development of the “Central Union of Greek Municipalities”.
