George Longos has 17 years’ experience in Investment Banking and Private Equity. He started his career in 2001 with Alpha Finance, the listed Investment Banking subsidiary of Alpha Bank, and subsequently led the Corporate Finance and IB services of the bank, before co-founding the first Structured Credit Fund in Greece in 2014, targeting mid-market companies. He is now a Managing Partner in Alantra, overviewing Greece, Cyprus and the Balkans.
During his professional career he has consummated more than 80 transactions across the whole spectrum of IB services, with the majority of them being M&As. Additionally, he has been involved in a series of challenging infrastructure project financings on a non-recourse basis. His cross border experience includes transactions in Serbia, Montenegro, Romania, Cyprus, Moldova, Croatia and Bulgaria.
George holds a Masters Degree in Finance from the University of Manchester in UK.
