Katerina Sokou is the Washington DC correspondent and a columnist at Greek daily newspaper Kathimerini and SKAI TV. She covers US politics and the White House, specializing in transatlantic relations and international economics. She has reported extensively on the Greek crisis and the IMF, interviewing prominent economists and policy-makers and providing analysis and commentary for international media, including for CNN, Bloomberg, BBC, CNBC and The Huffington Post. In the past, she worked at the business desk of the Washington Post, was International Financial News editor at Kathimerini and a financial reporter at To Vima newspaper, covering Greece and the European Union. A member of the editorial board of the Washington-based European Institute, she is an alumna of the Knight-Bagehot Fellowship in Economics and Business Journalism at Columbia University.
