Rogier van den Brink is a Lead Economist and Program Leader in the Macro and Fiscal Management Global Practice of the Europe and Central Asia Region of the World Bank. He coordinates economic policy and governance work by the World Bank in the EU Member States. Prior to his assignment in Brussels, he served as Lead Economist for the Philippines and, earlier, for Mongolia.
He holds a PhD in agricultural economics (international economics) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the US, and a Masters degree in sociology from Wageningen University in the Netherlands. Before joining the World Bank, he was a Research Associate at Cornell University and an Associate Expert with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands in Burkina Faso.
