Bill Antholis joined UVA as director and CEO of the Miller Center in 2015. He was previously the managing director of the Brookings Institution. Antholis worked at the White House as director of international economic affairs of the National Security Council and the National Economic Council. He also has worked at the U.S. State Department’s Policy Planning Staff and Bureau of Economic Affairs. He has held positions at the German Marshall Fund, the Council on Foreign Relations, and Princeton University’s Center of International Studies. Antholis earned his Ph.D. in politics from Yale University and his B.A. in government and foreign affairs at UVA.
