Christopher Hudson

Christopher Hudson is owner and publisher of Lowgill Publishing. He is also President of the Motovun Group of International Publishers (MGIP). Mr. Hudson has held senior positions at The Museum of Modern Art, New York (Publisher), The Getty Museum and Trust (Publisher), the Aperture Foundation (Publishing Director), Focal Press, Inc. ( President), and Prentice-Hall International (Assistant Vice-President). He was co-founder and past Chair of the International Association of Museum Publishers (IAMP).

His focus is on arts and humanities publishing and he has published widely in the fields of modern art and also classical art and archaeology. He is a frequent speaker on topics related to visual arts publishing, as well as on international copyright and freedom of expression, and he is active in the International Publishers Association’s initiatives promoting the defense of copyright and freedom to publish. He is the recipient of book publishing awards from the Association of American Publishers, the Association of University Presses, the American Association of Museums, the American Federation of Arts, and the American Institute of Graphic Arts.
