Danae Kyriakopoulou is Chief Economist and Director of Research at the Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF) based in London, and also serves as Chair of OMFIF’s Sustainable Policy Institute. She focuses on areas relevant to global public policy and investment institutions such as central banks, sovereign funds and public pension funds. These range from monetary policy and financial regulation to reserve management, investment policy and governance, including issues around climate risk supervision by central banks, ESG integration in portfolio management and the scaling up of green and sustainable finance. She also sits on a number of sustainability industry initiatives, including the Advisory Council of the European Mortgage Federation’s Energy Efficiency Mortgages Initiative, the Central Banks and Supervisors Network for Greening the Financial System, and the London Stock Exchange Group’s Future of Sustainable Data Alliance. She holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics and an MSc in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford.
