With more than 10 years of professional experience, Stella Psarrou specializes in the planning of volunteer programmes and social impact educational programmes. She holds a BA in Social Theology (Sociology of Religion) and an MBA. She holds an Executive Diploma in Project and Risk Management (University of Athens) and is a member of the Project Management Institute. She has work experience in major sport events, such as the ATHENS 2004 Olympic Games and the ATHENS 2011 Special Olympics World Games, where she worked as a Volunteer Programme Coordinator (25,000 people). From 2011 to 2019 she worked at Special Olympics Hellas as a Volunteer Programme Manager.
She currently holds the position of Director of Socialinnov, an NGO dedicated to empowering underprivileged communities by helping them develop their digital skills and improve their employability prospects. Embracing volunteerism both as a profession and as a way of life, Stella is also one of the co-founders of the Social Cooperative Enterprise 'Startagers' with the main goal to design and implement innovative training programs to fight age discrimination, and to design and build volunteer programmes with social impact in Greece. Since 2014, she offers her services to TEDxAthens as a Volunteers Programme Director while being an active member of the Management Team.
