Thabiso is a 34 year old Strategist, Cultural Economist, Policy Maker, Development Practitioner and Social Entrepreneur. He is the Chairperson of the Botswana Human Resource Development Council's Creative Industries Sector Committee and Vice Chairperson of the Botswana National Commission for UNESCO’s Communication and Information Programme Committee. An advisory board member of the Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST)’s Centre for Business Management, Entrepreneurship and General Education (CBMEGE) .Thabiso is the Board Chairperson of the Youth Social Advocacy Team of Uganda.
Thabiso is Co-Founder and CEO of These Hands GSSE, a global for profit social enterprise based in Botswana which supports rural community innovators and entrepreneurs in developing countries. As an enabler for international development work, they have also developed a social media platform that is dedicated to international development and co-creative design work and does not require the internet to use. He is a co-founder of the IDIN-SADC Consortium, lead instructor/facilitator of the Injini ED Tech Southern Africa Consortium in Botswana, creative consultant for DSIL Global and an International Fellow of the Edmund Hillary Fellowship of the New Zealand Government.
He has experience serving in various think tanks in Botswana, in Africa and globally like:
- Founding member Business Botswana Youth in Business Sector Committee
- Founding member off the UNDP Africa YAS platform think tank team
- Founding and current member of the Global International Development Innovation Network (IDIN) steering committee based at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) D-Lab.
