Zaki Laïdi is a professor of International Relations at Sciences Po. He is the author of numerous books including “A World Without Meaning” (Routledge, 1998), “The Great Disruption” (Cambridge Polity, 2007), “Norms over Force: The Enigma of European Power” (Palgrave Macmillan, 2008), “Limited Achievements - Obama’s Foreign Policy” (Palgrave Macmillan, 2012). His latest book Europe in Reflux (in French, 2013, Presses de Sciences Po) questions Europe leadership. Zaki Laidi was the Strategy Advisor of the French Prime Minister between 2014-2016 and a Special Adviser to Pascal Lamy when the latter was commissioner for trade between 2000 and 2004. Zaki Laidi writes extensively in French and foreign newspapers on current events. He is currently conducting research about populism and protectionism.
