Vassilis Antoniades

Regional Practice Area Leader - Financial Institutions, Central Europe & ME; Senior Partner & Managing Director, BCG

Vassilis is a Managing Director & Senior Partner of BCG. He has been involved in the build-up of BCG Athens since early 2003, led the office from 2010-18 and supported financial institutions and other organizations in the country during the downturn. Currently, he leads the Financial Institutions Practice Area in the CEMA region and is a member of BCG’s Global CEO Advisory council. 

Vassilis’ twenty-three year track record in strategic advisory has focused on turnaround work, organizational topics and on digital transformation. Prior to joining BCG, Vassilis worked as an investment banker in New York and London, involved in equity capital markets and M&A activity in New York and London. 

He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School (1999) and a B.Sc. magna cum laude in Finance from Georgetown (1993). For two years he served in the Hellenic Air Force in the 127 NATO Air Base and the Joint Naval and Air Rescue Center. 

He is a board member of the Bodossaki Foundation and the Benaki Museum and an elected board member of the American Hellenic Chamber of Commerce since September 2010. 

He is also a government appointed board member of Greece’s National Council for Research, Innovation & Entrepreneurship. 

He is married with Katerina Papageorgiou and they have two children.
