The two day Conference took place on October 6–7, 2026, in the Great Hall of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and convened global leaders and visionaries to map out the city’s trajectory. This landmark event is organized by To Vima - Greece’s premier Sunday newspaper and a historic flagship of the Greek press. The conference is held under the auspices of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the City of Athens, with the support of the Region of Attica and in association with the Delphi Economic Forum.
One City, Three Pivotal Lenses – The Dialogues for Athens explored the evolution of Athens through three interconnected dimensions.
The event began with a deep dive into the city’s historical foundations, from antiquity to modern political culture.
The dialogue then shifted to pressing contemporary realities—addressing youth opportunities, economic outlooks, and urban functionality alongside academic leaders and former mayors.
Finally, the focus turned to the future, convening global experts to discuss climate resilience, sustainable mobility, the “15-minute city,” and the transformative power of arts and culture in shaping a vibrant 21st-century metropolis.
