The inaugural Delphi Forum Slemani will be held in Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, at The Foundation Hall, Culture Factory, Slemani, and the Grand Millennium Hotel, on May 18-19, 2025. This landmark event, convened in collaboration with and under the high patronage of H.E. Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani, represents a pivotal moment in fostering substantive dialogue on the most pressing geopolitical, economic, and strategic challenges of our time, held in the third largest oil exporting country in the world.
For a decade the Delphi Economic Forum has been a premier platform for international discourse, bringing together heads of state and government, ministers of foreign affairs, defense, and finance, EU Commissioners, US Senators, leading policymakers, distinguished academics, major think tank leaders, and industry executives. Through our flagship Annual Meeting in Delphi, Greece, and our satellite fora in Washington D.C., Brussels, Toronto, Paris, Sofia, Belgrade, and Tirana, we have consistently provided a forum for high-level discussions that shape global policy and economic strategies.
The Delphi Forum Slemani will uphold this tradition of excellence and convene the highest political leadership of the Kurdistan Region and the Republic of Iraq, along with an exceptional assembly of international decision-makers, policymakers, and business leaders. This gathering comes at a time of profound transformation in the MENA region, a region of unparalleled geopolitical significance, vast economic potential, and abundant natural resources. Iraq, as one of the world’s most resource-rich nations, stands at a critical juncture in its economic and political evolution, while the Kurdistan Region remains a pillar of stability, safety, liberty, and religious coexistence in an otherwise turbulent landscape.
This forum will provide a platform to engage in high-level discussions on regional security, energy security and transition, economic diversification, investment opportunities, and the evolving geopolitical landscape of Iraq, Kurdistan, and the broader MENA region.
